Introduction

At PTFT, we are committed to fostering a brighter future for our communities by addressing pressing issues that affect our youth. On August 22, 2023, we had the privilege of organizing a Seminar and Workshop on Adolescent Pregnancy and Climate Change at Ebenezer Senior High School located at Dansoman in the Greater Accra region. This event was a powerful step towards equipping our young minds with knowledge and skills to tackle two critical challenges of our time – adolescent pregnancy and climate change.

Highlights:

Engaging Discussions: The event kicked off with engaging discussions led by experts in the fields of adolescent health and environmental conservation. Students had the opportunity to ask questions, share their perspectives, and gain valuable insights.

Interactive Workshops:

Our interactive workshops encouraged students to think critically about the impact of climate change on their communities and how they can be a part of the solution. Additionally, workshops on adolescent pregnancy prevention provided essential information and guidance.

Inspiring Speakers:

Inspirational speakers shared their personal journeys and experiences, motivating students to become change-makers in their own right. Their stories resonated deeply with the young audience, inspiring them to take action.

Peer-to-Peer Learning:

Students were encouraged to collaborate and learn from each other. Peer discussions and group activities fostered a sense of unity and purpose among participants.

Impact:

By the end of the seminar and workshop, students not only had a better understanding of the challenges posed by adolescent pregnancy and climate change but were also equipped with practical tools and knowledge to make a positive impact in their communities.
